Here are a couple of the pictures from the USO show that came by here. The first pic is my mortar section with the band, and the next one is me with the band.


I tried to load a video of the band on here but the internet sucks and is to slow it didnt work so i will put it on later. but if you are wondering what song it is the title is "There for You" by Flyleaf, i am sure if you youtube it you will find it there.

it really touched home for me about how i feel with everything i missed.

catching up

The last post was when i found out my daughter was born. Its been well over a month since that has happened. This should catch everyone up on what is going on.

Its traditional for Buddhists 33 days after you are born to have a ceremony at the temple. that happened on June 29th. I got the pictures from the ceremony they looked good.

Today they had the naming ceremony which is a Japanese tradition. I should be getting the pictures from that in the next couple days.

Today we also had a USO show come to Baylough. It was the band FlyLeaf. I had not heard of them till i found out they were coming here. One of my soldiers gave me a couple songs to listen to and they are a good group. They came out here and did an acoustic jam session with all of us listening. They were very nice to everone and very socialable it was real nice to have them here and get to see some people from the real world. We are a little isolated out here. So it was good to interact with some different people. I have some photos and videos that i will attach tomorrow.
