Experts HA part 2

I did not want to use that as the title for this post but it fits to well.

I might need to rethink my job idea for when i get out of the army. I saw a report today that the Department of Homeland Security published a report characterizing military veterans as right wing extremists.

How is this possible how can a group sit there and state that the men and women that are willing to give their lives for their country and its beliefs be extremists.

In my opinion this is not only a grave insult but an under handed attack by people that believe the military is there to do what they want, when they want, and how they want, and as soon as they are no longer needed those same people can walk all over them and spit in their face. Unfortunately we have let to many of those type of people get elected into office. (this also goes back to my earlier statement about first serving your country in the military before earning the right to vote and hold public office)

I believe this is just plain disgusting that people decide to target the one group of people that gave them the rights they now have. This is completely unacceptable.

I believe an apology is in order from DHS. I also wonder why its only republicans that are upset about this and have voiced their opinion. I did not read one word about a democrat saying anything about it.

If they want to call people extremists they need to target the people trying to take the rights they now have away. There are groups out there that are working with some politicians to help break down those rights and sweep them away.

Saying that leads me to think that the people that published that report are the extremists and are scared that the military veterans are seeing what they are doing. Those groups are more worried that military veterans will stand up and do their job, and follow the oath we have taken. So they want to make the military veterans look like the bad guys.

That is my conspiracy theory. That is also why it looks like i will be looking for a different job when i retire.

experts HA

I have been reading the news about how the world should deal with the pirate issue. The experts say using the military wouldn't work cause the pirates are based on land. They also say putting armed guards on the boats would only cause firefights. Last but not least they say rescue attempts to recover ships and crews using the military could cause casualty's.

So basically these "experts" are working for the pirates and say pay the ransoms. Talk about "experts"

I say use the military to strike at them on land and in the sea at the same time. If you don't take lethal action they will not stop. In fact they will keep going. Why do you ask? Simple, if no one stops them and they get what they want they will continue to do it cause they can. They are not going to wake up in the morning and say i am a bad person i will stop. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!

Now if we use the military to hit them whey will get the idea that they will either end up dead on the sea or on land. No place is safe from us. It worked in the 1700&1800's when the pirates were roaming the seas. Eventually they were captured or killed. So why not do it again.

The simple answer to that is this, those so called "experts" are weak and spineless they sit behind a desk and work in an office. They are not out there doing anything. The reason they would rather say pay them off and let it continue is cause they are scared that they might have to get their hands dirty. It boils down to fear. Fear of making the tough decision, Fear of putting lives in jeopardy. Fear of actually solving the problem.

Just plain Fear!!!

so in my opinion get over your fear, let the military do what id does and has done in the past, and lets us deal with these pirates. simple clean and effective, and let the rest of the world do what it does best and turn a blind eye and say the problem does not exist. since that is what most people are good at.

its about time, now lets finish it.

The Navy SEALS were able to end the standoff and rescue Captain Richard Phillips. Its reported that the snipers fired from the fantail of the ship killing 3 of the pirates and the 4th was detained.

All i can say is its about time, this played out longer than it should. we have the strongest military in the world. Why in the hell did it take 5 days to finally rescue him? In my opinion its time to put the Navy, the Marines, and as much as i hate to say it our overworked Special Operations Community to work and end this pirate threat. they are holding several ships, and around 230 people hostage, for us to let this continue is a grave mistake. Every day we let the continue without taking the fight to them is a mistake. They become more bold with every day cause they are getting paid off and getting away with it. Its time to stop playing nice and teach these fools a lesson.

And a small history lesson, this is not the first time we have had this problem. In the 1800's we had the same problem the pirates were raiding our ships and holding our people hostage, and we paid them off for quite some time until we finally had enough and attacked. Any marine will tell you of Lt. Pressley Obanon (forgive me if i spelled that name wrong) and his assault on the barbery coast.

Apparently its time to go in there again and deal with the situation. I Think if we had some people willing to make the hard decision it wouldn't be a problem. Lets send in the Spec Ops people to retake what they have taken and free the hostages. Then before any ship enters that area we put atleast a platoon of heavily armed infantry on the boat and they serve as guards while the boat is in the "pirate area" then when the pirates try and take the boat they are killed or captured (of course the soldiers will follow the laws of war) but the ships should be concidered a part of their respective nations soil and defended as such.

I for one would have no problem getting trained up for and executing that type of mission. so lets get off of this thought that if we talk to them and work with them we can get our people back safely. That doesnt work all that will happen is they will continue to capture ships and take hostages. Now is the time for action, we have shown them what a small ammount of what we are capable of. Its time to take the gloves and deal with these type of terrorists the old fashion way brutally. That is what they will understand.

We have the strongest military in the world, lets use it to "protect the innocent, and punish the deserving!!!" (all my fellow Tomahawks will know what i mean)

Change what an interesting concept. I would think in most cases its a good thing. Sometimes thought change is a very bad thing. Organizations like the ACLU, and the NAACP, those are not good forms of change. those organizations say they are here to protect peoples rights, i think they are here to pick causes to make their name bigger and actually stop change.

they say they are fighting to make things equal regarding race and religion. i think they are doing nothing more than keeping race and religion in the argument. they want those issues front and center not the real problems. they would rather complain that everything is about race. I believe that is the fundamental problem most things are not about race ( i am not naive enough to say nothing is, i know there are still issues out there that are brought up about race) what i believe is 90% of the world has gone beyond race and that those groups and people that want to use the race/religion card are the ones that will not let us get past that to the issues at hand.

I believe that if groups like this would quit their bull #@$% that things would start to improve. If the ACLU would not protect groups that believe is some sick @#$% then there would be less problems. If the NAACP would stop making everything into a race fight there wouldn't be so many people crying race about the stupid stuff.

I have been in the army for over 10 years and i can say that race is immaterial. in my opinion we all bleed the same color "red" and that's what counts. so we need to quit this race/religion crap.

Now the reason i got on this soapbox is because the President gave a speach in Turkey telling them that we are not at war with Islam. Now that the obvious is out of the way. In this part of the world they veiw events differently, we see the Crusades of the middle ages as ancient history, they see it as yesterday. They also think we are at it again.

This is exactly what i mean about getting past religion. They see it that way and refuse to listen to anything else. if they could get it through their heads we dont care what religion they practice. as long as they are not trying to kill us. if they had left us alone we would not be here. But people dont want to look at actual cause they prefer to make one up that allows them to be the victim but thats how some people are.

this is just my basic thought about the topic above, it will get more indepth later.
