I am going to get away from the musical quotes for today. Basically i just can't think of a song to go with this one.
I know its been almost a month since i have written, but its been crazy busy. We left the airbase in that one country i cant spell. Then we flew to bagram, and was there for a couple days, then to Kandahar, and we were there for a few days, then to Lagman, and we were there for a few hours then finally to baylough, our final stop on the tour. we have been working very hard to get this place cleaned up and working on all kinds of improvements. To be honest it needs it bad, some of the last groups have been very lazy doing things, but we are fixing that.
The only excitement we have had was a USO stop that brought some people out here, the only name i recognized was the guy who played Harvy Dent in Dark Night. so we let him and the other two people that were with hang a round on my mortar tube. I will attach some pictures when i get the chance. but it was pretty cool they came out here. They were all about shooting the guns as well.
well thats all for now. i am safe and doing well, and keeping busy. talk to you all later......

Here i go again..........
I am at it again with the music quotes, this time its a classic from White Snake thats right that 80's rock group with the huge blond hair!
Well to get to the story behind this choice, as i am on my 4th deployment i am laughing at how messed up the route into that area is. I am sitting at and Air Base in Kyrgyzstan (the one you hear about on the news that the Russians are trying to bribe the local government to close down) i have been here for almost a week. I am waiting to get another flight out to get to my next destination. I am not going to go into the cost of us flying to 3 bases before finally getting an airlift to our fire base, because i am sure you can figure it out. Especially with our economy the way it is.
What i will mention is something i find even funnier. when that bit came out on the news about the offer there was a local national watching it and laughing about it, it appeared that he supported the idea, i calmly mentioned to him that when they take the money and don't pay it back the Russains will calmly invade them again (does Georgia ring a bell). I also mentioned that as soon as we leave he needed to find a new job as he will be jobless. Funny part was the look on his face when i finished.
So i guess in a way there is more than one reason for the title.
Something else to ponder and i think a lot of America's current problems stem from this one simple fact. People are very short sited. They cant see past the bubble they live in. they fail to see the full picture of life and the world around them.
People see a bad economy so they want to throw money at it............... Doesn't work when we are already broke.
People see a war they don't like so they want to run away from that..............Does Vietnam ring a bell, we cant tuck our tail and run it destroys the military and the country's standing.
People see a prison they don't agree with so they want to close it.............. what do we do with all the bad people there i wonder????????
just something to think about.
